Aviation Branch Response to ARFFS Regulatory Policy Review Public Consultation Paper

The DIRD released a public consultation paper in December 2015 titled, Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Service Regulatory Policy Review. Your Union has submitted a response to the paper. Our response is in two parts-

  1. Aviation Branch Submission; and
  2. An independent report commissioned by the National Office of our Union titled, "Prioritising safety in the allocation of ARFFS." The report supplements your Union's submission.

It is highly recommended that you read our submission and the independent report to see the dangers and flaws inherent in the proposals in the consultation paper. Airservices/ARFF are supporting the proposals in the DIRD consultation paper and there is strong reason to believe that Airservices/ARFF and CASA colluded on the proposals that not only threaten aviation safety but also your jobs and your future.
